Our fine mono and welded mono systems
Fine mono is the more flexible of the two, and all three of ours add an edge. Men's Fine Mono Hair System (D7-3) has a 1" PU perimeter and a 1/8" folded lace front. Monofilament Hair System (HS27) has PU on the sides and back and a skin gauze front with a #1 scallop. Fine Mono Hair piece (HS27P) has a skin gauze perimeter and a 1" bleached Swiss lace front.
Welded mono is stiffer and stronger overall. Fine Welded Mono Base Mens Hair System (NCON) and Monofilament Toupee for Men (NCONAL) are both super-fine welded mono with a 1" bleached front hairline.
Which mono system to pick
Mono suits wearers who've had systems stretch, tear or lose shape too early, and anyone who reattaches often or leads an active life. It isn't the pick if the lightest feel comes first. That's lace.
Lace hair systems →Listed densities run from 80% on NCONAL through 90–100% on NCON to 120% on D7-3, HS27 and HS27P. The NCON and NCONAL listings describe their hairlines for everyday, subtle styling rather than an exposed hairline. If you wear your hair back, check the front on each product page: HS27P and D7-3 list a lace front, and NCON and NCONAL list a 1" bleached front hairline.

Is mono more durable than lace?
Generally, yes. Mono mesh is woven tighter and stronger than lace, so it takes thorough cleaning with less risk of tearing. Lace still gives the lightest feel.
Which mono systems list a lace front?
Fine Mono Hair piece (HS27P) and Men's Fine Mono Hair System (D7-3) list a lace front in their base spec: a 1" bleached Swiss lace front on HS27P and a 1/8" folded lace front on D7-3. Both are also on our Lace Front page. Fine Welded Mono Base Mens Hair System (NCON) and Monofilament Toupee for Men (NCONAL) list a 1" bleached front hairline; their product pages have the details. How is HS27 different from HS27P?
Both are fine mono at 120% density. HS27 has PU on the sides and back and a skin gauze front with a #1 scallop. HS27P has a skin gauze perimeter and a 1" bleached Swiss lace front.
